Google always a mile ahead

I read about this a few days ago, and I realized that this is going to be the major threat for Apple and Microsoft in the near future. Both Microsoft and Apple have their own retail stores; so they are able to interact with their customers directly.

Till date, Google, the search engine giant (and maybe even social giant) did not have any such store; but Google is such a company which does not modify or adapt itself according to market; but makes its own market. This decision of Google is going to have major impact on future retail marketing. This may be the nightmare that keeps Microsoft and Apple awake.

Jeff Jarvis in his book ‘What Would Google Do?’, has explained it correctly and there is no negative probability for all those possibilities according to me. He has also predicted fragrance of Google in every domain of market like electricity, entertainment, newspapers, real estate, Google capital, hospitals, Google in open education. Nobody can deny the possibility of this in future; because fund is not an issue for Google anymore.

For software products, it is ok not to have any store. But now Google also has its part in hardware with Google Glass, Nexus, Chrome book, etc. Google needs a retail outlet for these awesome products. This might take some time for Google to launch stores in India. Google and Facebook are the major threats for Apple and Microsoft, but Facebook does not have any hardware product of its own yet.


As per tradition of Google, there are going to be some innovative changes in retail marketing and Google may make other retail stores to change; as they did with websites in search engine optimization.  Even Apple’s so called loyal customers will not hesitate to turn their feet to Google retail stores.

Also with the acquisition of ‘Nest labs’, Google has given an idea about its interest in ‘Internet of Everything’ which surely will need retail stores.
